Extensively trained in musical theatre, Jackson LaMorte has spent his college career delving into other facets of performance such as screen acting and Shakespeare to broaden his skillset. Recently starring as Bobby in Company, Jackson continues to perfect his vocal performance. He has recently received glowing praise for his role as Tommy in the original cast of the stage play Hyannis. Jackson is a passionate writer as well; His short film The Interrogation of Hugo Schreiber is in the midst of its festival run. Now graduated from LMU with a BA in Marketing and Theatre Arts, he is continuing his acting training with Howard Fine. He has been described as charming yet brooding, and while often cast as a leading man is capable of comedic or villainous roles.
Jackson LaMorte stars in Nuclear Man, a proof of concept passion project by LMU Film Production Major Joaquin Garcia. The film's environment is synonymous with James' mind as he undergoes the five stages of grief.
Starring as Bobby, Jackson LaMorte makes his Del Rey Players debut in Stephen Sondheim's Company directed by Gabriella Papera. Jackson won the Del Rey Player's Cabbie Award for best leading performer in the 2024-2025 season.
